Le Col - Wahoo is extremely excited to announce that recent signing Eva van Agt will be staying with the team until the end of 2023. A former hockey player turned cyclist, Eva has grown exponentially in both confidence and experience over the last few months, dipping her toes in key stage races and soon, the Tour de France Femmes.
“My first months with the team have been incredible,” said Eva. “I can confirm that my initial impressions are correct: the team chemistry is amazing, and Nico, Julia and all the riders bring a lot of experience from which I am learning a lot.”
“Additionally, I’ve gotten to know our way of racing and I really enjoy it: attacking, always creating opportunities, fighting until the end. Our soigneurs, mechanics, DS's, and managers are always working around the clock, motivating me even more to give it my best. I am very thankful for all the opportunities I have been provided with so far, and I look forward to keep on learning and exploring my potential in 2023!"
Eva has made a solid impression with the team in her short time here, finishing 5th in the mountains classification at the Internationale LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour, and 10th in the Dutch national time trial championship. Team manager Tom Varney agreed she’s come a long way since her first race with the team in March.
“Eva’s development as a rider has been great to see. She’s grown in confidence and ability, settling into the pro peloton with ease. We’re excited to see her continue to develop her potential and discover her strengths on the bike for another year.”
Eva will be part of the six-woman squad heading to the inaugural Tour de France Femmes this week and will be a key domestique helping her teammates seek out stage wins.
